b⁴ vs Morfi: two designs for opinion markets
Morfi and b⁴ are both opinion markets: neither waits on a real-world event or an oracle. The difference is how a market ends. On Morfi, prices move as people buy and sell positions, markets can have more than two outcomes, and there is no fixed timer — a market settles once one outcome has held the money lead long enough. Morfi is still in public beta on testnet, with test funds.
On b⁴, every market is a yes-or-no question on a clock, live on Solana mainnet with real USDC. Your stake is your vote, capped at one vote per device, so a bigger stake never buys extra votes, and the majority of voters at close decides within 24 hours. Morfi has no whale or sybil guard: anyone can create multiple wallets and pile onto a side to take the money lead. Early stakes on b⁴ earn up to 2× money weight, and the nightly board resolves live on B Feud at 9 PM ET.
